There are Café’s and coffee shops all around the town.

Whilst Pwllheli does have one of the coffee shop chains there are also a number of locally run establishments offering the most delicious cakes, snacks and light lunches – and of course freshly made ice creams. You really don’t have to walk far to find somewhere to have a tea, coffee or light snack in Pwllheli.

Restaurants

Pwllheli has a wide selection of restaurants to suit most tastes, including a number of award winning, fine dining establishments among them.

With our coastal location, seafood features highly on many menus. Featuring the ‘catch of the day’ in some cases some delicious fish dishes feature, among others, the local mackerel or the luxury of freshly caught lobster and crab.

It’s not all about fish dishes fine dining though; traditional Carvery’s, steak houses and hearty pub style meals are easy to find. Variation and cuisine from around the world are very much part of the dining experience in Pwllheli with Indian and Chinese options and many more to enjoy.

Takeaways

Whilst on holiday getting a quick meal or snack can really be part of the pleasure of an easy going relaxed holiday. Pwllheli has a huge selection of fast food and takeaways.

There’s nothing quite like tucking into fish and chips whilst taking in the stunning sea views along the promenade; a real seaside holiday favourite. There is a number of Fish ‘n’ Chip shops in the town. You will also find both locally run options for Pizza’s, Burger, Kebabs plus Indian and Chinese.

There are also a number of sandwich bars but it can be worth going into any number of local café’s and tearooms for a sandwich.

Nightlife  – Pubs & Bars

Pwllheli has a really nice selection of pubs and bars ranging from traditional pubs with quality pub food and children play areas to the more modern bars and clubs, featuring music, themed nights and discos.

Most of the pubs will serve food throughout the day or as an evening meal.

Many of the bars also feature large screen TV’s with live sports and events, whilst some also feature live performances.  With a Wetherspoon pub in the town, you can spend time in familiar style or try out our friendly local pubs, serving local beers and ales.

Pwllheli has a relaxed atmosphere and is generally very laid back but really comes to life at the weekends.
